David Oshins got the sweetest surprise for his 92nd birthday.
After planning to spend the day with one of his grandkids, Oshins, who lives in the Riverdale neighborhood of the Bronx in New York, ended up entertaining all six of them when they unexpectedly showed up, one after the other, at his door.
"Oh my God. This is the greatest surprise I ever saw," Oshins said in a viral video that his granddaughter Emily Kramer, 26, posted on TikTok. “This is great!”
In the clip, Kramer arrives to her grandfather's apartment first. Then, the doorbell keeps ringing. In comes Julie Kramer, 29, Carly Kramer, 31, Marli Oshins, 19, Ben Oshins, 25, and Jake Oshins, 29.
At the end of the clip, Oshins looked overcome with love sitting in his living room with all his grandkids by his side.
“I can’t get over this. This is really something. Really was a big surprise, really made my day," he said while hugging one of his grandkids in the video.
While Oshins says his grandkids visit each week, he's never had all six of them together. Speaking to TODAY.com, Oshins describes what he was feeling in the video.
"It was the warmest feeling a person could possibly have — to have all your grandkids together. There’s nothing better," he says.
Kramer, who planned the surprise with her family members, tells TODAY.com that she, her cousins and her siblings wanted to do something nice for their grandfather, whom they call "papa," for his birthday.
"When thinking about what to get him, we knew no material item would be enough for a man who has given everything to his family and expects nothing in return," she says.
Kramer explained that she and her loved ones decided to do a surprise TikTok video for their grandfather after they saw someone else create a similar video online.
“We thought it would be funny to do the same. We filmed his reactions just to share with our family and friends, but when we saw how heartwarming the video turned out, we knew we had to share him with the world — never anticipating just how viral it would become,” she says.
Kramer's video has been viewed on TikTok over 3 million times, which is something she never expected to happen "in a million years."

Oshins was also overwhelmed. "I cannot believe it. I am stunned, overwhelmed by the reaction. I read all the comments and tear up at such a heartwarming response," he says.
A coincidence that made the moment sweeter was what Oshins was wearing during the surprise: A blue sweatshirt with the word "papa" embroidered on the front.
“It was a complete fluke!" Oshins says about his attire. "Didn’t even remember I had it, but I found it in my closet and threw it on by chance."
Oshins has a close relationship with all six of his grandkids. Kramer says they spend time together "often" because "being with him is all of our happiest places." Though she lives in Trumbull, Conn., she says she still makes it a "priority to spend as much time with him" as she can.
"Visits often range from dinners, to grocery shopping, to watching TV or movies and most importantly, our beloved Yankees. However, it truly doesn’t matter what we do, any time spent together is the greatest gift we could ask for," she says.
The family has rallied around Oshins after his late wife died of cancer this past August.
“They were childhood sweethearts, together for 75 years, married just shy of 69. The love they had for each other was out of a movie, and they poured every ounce of that love into their children and of course their grandchildren,” Kramer says.

Oshins tells TODAY.com that family is "everything" to him.
"It is my whole life!" he says. "It’s what keeps me young and my motivation everyday. They keep this 92-year-old guy looking 72!"
