Chris Pratt Says He's 'Not Sure What to Do' With the 'Massive' Christmas Gift Father-In-Law Arnold Schwarzenegger Gave Him

“He just goes all out with his gifts,” Pratt said about “The Terminator” star.

Chris Pratt is revealing the custom present his father-in-law, Arnold Schwarzenegger, gifted him and three of his children for the holidays.

The 46-year-old actor, who has been married to Schwarzenegger’s daughter Katherine Pratt Schwarzenegger since 2019, recently stopped by “The Graham Norton Show” in the UK and chatted about how he spent Christmas with his family.

When host Graham Norton prompted Pratt to share how much his father-in-law loves Christmas, the “Guardians of the Galaxy” actor replied, “His love language is giving gifts, that’s for sure. He just goes all out with his gifts.”

Pratt continued, “This year, one was like a six foot by eight foot portrait painting of all three of my children and him as Santa Claus, and it’s very lifelike and it’s very big and it’s him as Santa Claus and then the three kids peering around the Christmas tree seeing him eat a cookie.”

As the audience laughed, Norton quipped that the present couldn’t be on display the entire year.

“Yeah, I’m not sure exactly what we’re supposed to do with that for the rest of the year,” Pratt agreed. “I think we’ll have to break that out in November sometime.”

He added that the present is so large it will be difficult to store it.

“It’s big. It’s enframed and it’s a big massive canvas,” he explained before also describing the present as “a wonderful decoration” and “very thoughtful gift” for his family.

The action star and Pratt Schwarzenegger share three children together: 5-year-old daughter Lyla Maria, 3-year-old daughter Eloise Christina and 1-year-old son Ford Fitzgerald. He is also a father to 13-year-old son Jack from his previous marriage to Anna Faris.

Pratt received another unique present from Schwarzenegger, as well.

“He also gave me a pair of crocodile boots that he wore in a movie,” Pratt revealed. “We have the same size feet.”

Pratt appeared on “The Graham Norton Show” with Cynthia Erivo, comedian and writer Dawn French and comedian Rob Becket.

After he shared his personal gift, the two comedians playfully teased him that he just received an old pair of shoes. “They’re regifted but they are iconic. He wore them in some movie…” Pratt pushed back.

Becket chimed in and joked, “So iconic you can’t remember the film?”

Pratt has spoken about his close relationship with his father-in-law before. He revealed during an interview with “New York Live” in 2021 that Schwarzenegger frequently quotes iconic lines from his movies when he is around his family.

“He does it all the time, too. He’ll say lines from his movies and stuff. He’ll walk out and be like, ‘I’ll be back,’” he shared. The interview was part of the promotional run for Pratt’s movie “The Tomorrow War,” which included a scene where he said a slightly different version of that same Schwarzenegger line.

“I showed it in front of the whole family and I said, ‘I do have a line. I say, I will be back,’” he recalled. “And you’ll see it just pales in comparison to anytime you’ve ever delivered that iconic line. I’m just saying it like a guy who’s going into the room. There’s nothing iconic about it.”

The respect between the two is mutual as Schwarzenegger proudly gushed about his son-in-law when “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” was released in 2023.

At the time, Schwarzenegger tweeted, “I saw #GuardiansOfTheGalaxyVol3 last night and WOW. @prattprattpratt, you crushed it. A non-stop, perfect mix of comedy and action. I loved it and I’m very, very proud of you.”
