Bradley Cooper Reacts to Rumors That He's Had Plastic Surgery

The actor said people have approached him and commented on his appearance following speculation that he has had cosmetic surgery.

Bradley Cooper knows people are talking about him.

The 51-year-old actor and director subtly addressed rumors that he's had plastic surgery during a chat with Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett during the Jan. 5 episode of the trio's “SmartLess” podcast.

The conversation began with Arnett touching on how, in a recent interview, he was asked to name one thing about Cooper that may not be widely known. Arnett stars in Cooper’s latest film “Is This Thing On?” and they also co-wrote the screenplay together with John Bishop.

“I said, ‘Well, there’s a lot,’” Arnett recalled replying. “And then I was going to say, because we keep reading... everybody thinks that Bradley’s had plastic surgery. Everybody keeps saying that. I’m like, what people don’t know is that he hasn’t!”

Cooper then chimed in about his experience with fans commenting on his looks.

“Some people came up to me the last couple weeks. They’re like, ‘Oh, you look good!’” Cooper said.

Arnett said that it made him “mad” to have “people say that all the time” and critique another person's appearance.

“It’s such a hilarious thing. Everybody thinks that they know,” Arnett added. “You know, you read that b------- stuff.”

Cooper, on his end, did not make any additional comments about the rumors before the podcast hosts continued with their regularly scheduled programming and next guest.

For the last couple of months, some social media users have speculated and made videos about the “A Star Is Born” director, dissecting his features and theorizing what procedures they believe he underwent.

While Cooper did not share his beauty or skin routine on the podcast, he has been open in the past about his dramatic transformations for different characters, including training twice a day and gaining 40 pounds for his role in “American Sniper.” He also spent up to five hours in the makeup chair having prosthetics applied when he filmed "Maestro."

Lately, Cooper has been busy promoting his latest drama starring Arnett and Laura Dern. The film is about a couple, Alex and Tess, who are on the verge of divorce. Amid his seemingly mid-life crisis, Alex takes up stand-up comedy.
